What is weton?
Weton combines the day of the week with the pasaran, a five-day cycle in the Javanese calendar: Legi, Pahing, Pon, Wage, and Kliwon. Together they form 35 repeating combinations.
Each day and pasaran has a value called neptu. Their sum is the basis of many primbon counts, from reading character to compatibility between partners.
